Teledermatology is a virtual appointment you can have with your California Skin Institute board-certified dermatologist. You can either request an appointment online or call your local California Skin Institute office to schedule your teledermatology appointment.

Once you have made a teledermatology appointment, we will email you a link prior to your appointment. This link will allow you to join a video call with your dermatologist on the day of your scheduled appointment from the comfort and safety of your home. All virtual appointments are HIPAA compliant.

Things you will need for a virtual conference to work:

• A room with good lighting
• A camera either on your phone or laptop
• A good internet connection

Almost any type of appointment that does not require a biopsy or medical surgery can be changed to a teledermatology appointment. However, teledermatology appointments have limitations and we may suggest you come in for an in-person appointment. If you are unsure if you should schedule a telederm appointment, please contact your local office.
